What you Need to Known about HELB Loan

  • The loan you will be applying for is called the Jielimishe loan

  • The maximum amount of loan you can apply for will be equal to your 1 year fee (2 semesters)

  • The maximum repayment period is 48 months

  • The loan is available to salaried students subject to the a third rule on your payslip

  • Is it a guarantee that you will get the loan if your payslip can accommodate the deduction based on the a third rule? YES, all our applicants have received the loans that they applied for.

  • Once your loan is approved, it is directly sent to the school accounts, and not to your personal account.

  • When entering your details in the HELB system, the guarantors you listed will be notified of your intention to have them as guarantors.

  • After your loan is approved, the monthly deductions on your payslip will begin immediately.

  • You can get the loan even before you begin your 1st year of studies for as long as you have the admission letter from the school.

  6. KCPE certificate

  7. University/college admission letter

  8. University/college fee structure

  9. Passport Photo

  10. Letter of employment

  11. The last 3 payslips

  1. Copy of ID

GUARANTORS DETAILS (2 Guarantors) – MUST be Employed.

  1. Copy of ID

  2. Place of work

  3. KRA PIN

  5. Email address

  6. Staff number

Kindly note that HELB may sometimes take longer than expected to process the loan. It is therefore advisable to apply for the loan 3 months before you need it.
